Staff First Aid Retraining

To maintain our philosophy of having a safe and caring environment, staff members are trained in basic first aid. St Johns run the first aid training.

On the 16th December 2011 office staff and teachers returned to school to spend a day renewing their first aid license. The day started with a quiz to find the gaps so the day could be tailored to the staff's needs.

 It was a busy day, with work stations set up around the room for  the staff to practise and refine their first aide skills.

At the end of the day all attendees had to pass a CPR assessment. This took the form of a practical test where they were watched individually as they performed CPR on a dummy.

 It was a very successful day with all office staff and teachers attending passing the assessment.
