Reporting to Parents
At Pigeon Mountain
Primary School, we value
the learning partnership we have with parents. Parents can make an appointment
with the class teacher at any time during the year if they are concerned about
their child.
We report
to parents four times a year. We have 2 written reports and 2 three - way
conferences a year.
The first
written report went home in July. In the July report, we reported on students'
achievement and progress towards the National Standard in Mathematics, Reading and Written
Language.
For some
Year 1-3 students this reports shows progress against the National Standards.
Time at school is a critical factor. Students in Years 1-3 have their
achievement reported at the end of their first, second and third year at
school.
If a
student has reached a time at school milestone then they receive an Achievement
Against the National Standard's report.
The second
written report is due to go home on the 12th of December. The end of
year report is a detailed report of students' achievement against the National
Standards in Mathematics, Reading
and Written Language.
For some
Year 1-3 students this reports shows progress towards the National Standards. (See
above)
The end of
year report also reports on Inquiry Learning, Health and Physical Education and
The Arts.
(See sample above).
