About Us

Goals of the School

We structure programmes to cater for the needs of each student within the school so that they may develop to their fullest potential. Pigeon Mountain Primary School gives students a rich and wide ranging programme from which they will acquire knowledge, learn skills and develop attitudes which will help their development now and in the future.

The aim of Pigeon Mountain Primary School is to foster an environment where each student is secure, happy, co-operative, industrious and where we accept and cater for all individual strengths, weaknesses and differences. Every student cannot be the best, but each student is expected to do their best in whatever they undertake.

C.A.R.E
Caring and Respecting Everyone. This is our school wide programme which focuses on fostering good attitudes and behaviour at school and at home. The programme encourages children to treat others as they would like to be treated, respect differences and values and traditions of other people and cultures and to look after the environment they live in.

With your full co-operation and support we will maintain the highest possible standards at all times and work toward achieving these goals.

1. To develop positive attitudes to learning
2. To develop independence of thought and responsibility
3. To acknowledge effort and achievement
4. To enlarge pupil's interest, concern and appreciation for other people and their environment
5. To develop a spirit of co-operation between students, staff and parents in working towards common objectives
6. To develop and maintain a school culture where students feel worthwhile.
