Teacher Association" or for general enquiries regarding

school office.
"Parent Teacher Association" Meetings
"Parent Teacher Association"
meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, in
the school staff room from 7:30pm. A committee is elected
at the first meeting in March where everyone votes for a Chairperson,
Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary. The meetings do
follow a set protocol to enable them to run smoothly but are
generally relaxed and informal, with everyone's comments being
welcome. Non-members are most welcome to attend a meeting,
but will be unable to vote on any issues discussed. Being
part of the "Parent Teacher Association" and coming
to the meetings is a great way of getting to know more about
the school and upcoming activities.

"Helpers"
Fundraising is when we raise money to help
with purchasing resources for the school. This can range from
videos, books, sports uniforms, drinking fountains, art supplies
etc. A group of parents meet once a term to decide what activities
will be held. In the past we have held Discos, cake stalls,
ice-skating and many other fun ideas. Helpers are required
to organise these activities and to assist on the day of the
event. Anyone can help with fundraising; the more parents
involved the less time spent. Take fun out of the word 'fundraising'
and there is our motto - having fun while raising money for
our children and their education.

Road Patrol
Road patrol requires you to supervise the
crossing on Loloma Drive. This involves meeting the Road Patrol
children at the Caretakers Enclosure, near the School Hall
at 8:20am to be on duty at 8:25am. The Supervisor and the
Road Patrol children are to remain on duty until 8:55am. The
Supervisor is to stand on the side of the road from where
the children are crossing. Should any traffic infringement
occur details go into a notebook. Infringements are explained
to all volunteers before hand. Should there be an offence
a form is completed in the school office and faxed to the
Police - Traffic Dept who take further action. A roster is
typed up and the road patrol supervisors are on duty once
in every 4 to 5 weeks for 1/2/ hour.
