School Donation

Our school donation for 2016 has again been set at $220 per child.  Thank you to all our parents who pay the donation every year.

While it is voluntary, without your support we would be unable to provide the quality education you have come to expect from Pigeon Mountain Primary School.  As many of you know, most of our school funding comes from the Ministry of Education.  However, as a Decile 8 school, we receive approximately $800 less per child than a Decile 1 school.

We need to make up the difference and do this by asking for school donations and engaging in fundraising activities throughout the year.  The money raised goes towards vital resources, such as employing additional teachers to maintain class sizes.

We know that for some of our families paying the school donation all at once is difficult.  For this reason you can make part payments each school term.  However, early payment makes it easier for us to plan properly for the year ahead.  Therefore, if you pay in full before 31st March 2017, we offer a $20 discount.

Payment can be made via:

  • Direct credit a/c 02 0168 0210765 00
  • At the school office (cheque/cash/eftpos)
  • Online when purchasing stationery from OfficeMax

Please note you may qualify for an income tax credit from Inland Revenue in relation to donations made to the school.
