This term we have been learning about body systems and how they work.
We have learnt how some of the systems are connected and work together.
In term two we will be learning about Indigenous art forms and how they develop an understanding of the world around us. We will learn about how indigenous art communicates beliefs, values, rituals and traditions. Also, how symbolism of the natural world is used to express ideas, feelings and emotions in art. If you have any expertise or useful resources in this area we would love to know. Please contact your child’s teacher if you are able to help in any way. As part of this learning we will be taking a trip to the TeTuhi Art Centre at some point during the term. The dates for this trip are yet to be confirmed.
Team news and reminders
Welcome back to our two year six classes who have recently been to camp and Lakewood Lodge. They had a fantastic time and represented the school well by showing the school values. A big thank you to all the parents who came along and helped also. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Thanks to Sahar, Judy and Neve who helped to cover the road patrol jobs while year six was away. You were very responsible and did a great job.
All year 4, 5 and 6 students need to bring their P.E gear (both the shirt and shorts) every day.
Children can wear sports shoes as part of their P.E gear but not with their regular school uniform.
We have Jump Jam every Friday
Children can now check school notices from home at any time by logging onto their Ludi basic facts account and clicking on the notices icon. This allows them more responsibility for being able to make sure they do not miss any notices. Parents can also check at any time.
Library days are as follows. Please remember to return your books on time.
Rm 24 – Friday
Rm 23 – Thursday
Rm 20 – Wednesday
Rm 21 – Friday
